Ladies, join us as the Portland Spirits Society reconvenes at Rhum for a night of tiki rum punches. Rhum bartender Alex will lead us through an educational tasting of tiki punches, as he explains the history of rum and the tiki craze.

Your $30 ticket includes several rum punches and snacks from the new happy hour menu. Join us on this rum-soaked escape to Portland’s hippest tiki lounge.

July(ish) Event: Stroudwater Distillery Happy Hour

Stroudwater Distillery is Portland’s newest craft distillery, joining Bissell Brothers Brewing and Cellardoor Winery in Thompson’s Point’s booze row.

Come have happy hour from 5-6:30PM on Friday, August 2nd with your fellow liquor-loving ladies at this new distillery. We’ll taste their full line of spirits (vodka, gin, bourbon, and rye) and enjoy a cocktail, mixed up by bar manager and famed Portland bartender, John Myers.

Join us for an evening of Maine-made spirits and Mediterranean fare. June’s Portland Spirits Society event takes us the swanky lounge of TIQA, where Wiggly Bridge Distillery‘s brand ambassador Kendra White will share her distillery’s story and spirits with us. She’ll also feature some simple cocktails that can easily be made at home this summer.

Your $25 ticket gets you samples of 5 Wiggly Bridge spirits, sample cocktails, and snacks from TIQA’s kitchen.

April Event: Caledonia Spirits + Oyster Pairing

It’s finally spring (right!?), so this month we’re exploring lighter spirits from Vermont’s Caledonia Spirits. This small craft distillery’s gin and vodka will be paired with local oysters and other snacks from the city’s best oyster bar, Eventide Oyster Co.

Jeff Cole, regional sales manager for Caledonia, will be on hand to explain his company’s unique spirits, while Eventide’s bartenders mix up some of their favorite vodka and gin-based cocktails for us.

March Event: Ladies’ Whiskey + Chocolate Tasting

March is a long month, so join us for a whiskey break! We’re headed to East Ender in Portland to learn about scotch whisky from William Grant & Sons rep Chris Reed. This event is for beginner and experienced scotch drinkers alike, and Chris has some whiskies that even the most ardent bourbon drinker will love.

Bonus: since it’s March, I asked him to sneak in an Irish whiskey for us too.

Black Dinah Chocolatier will join us and bring samples of their beautiful handmade chocolate truffles. East Ender will provide the snacks.
